Waste Reduction and Recycling Initiative Funding

The Waste Reduction and Recycling Initiative (WRRI) provides up to $40,000 in financial assistance to NWT-based municipalities, schools, organizations, businesses and individuals to complete projects supporting one or more of the following goals:

  • reduce the amount of waste generated in our communities;
  • reuse materials and products, rather than discard them;
  • recycle materials which are not already collected through a NWT recycling program; and,
  • recover a useful benefit from waste.

How to apply

The Waste Reduction and Recycling Initiative application form is a Word document that can be filled out by applicants. The funding application deadline for this program is April 25, 2016.
