Expressions of Interest - Waste Reduction and Recovery Advisory Committee(Expired)

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (ENR) is seeking Expressions of Interest from individuals and organizations interested in serving as a member on an advisory committee for waste reduction and recovery programs in the Northwest Territories (NWT).  Members will provide advice and assistance on waste reduction and recovery programs including but not limited to design, implementation and operation.

ENR is looking to fill current vacancies as well as solicit interest from people involved in the electronics industry to begin looking at the feasibility of including electronic waste or e-waste in the program.  Click here to read the Terms of Reference of the Waste Reduction and Recovery Advisory Committee (WRRAC).

Representatives of the following sectors are encouraged to apply:  
•    Non-Government Organizations;
•    Small communities;
•    Distributors/manufacturers of electronic/electrical products;
•    Retailers of electronic/electrical products; and
•    E-waste refurbishers.  

Letters of interest should state:
•    Candidate’s experience in waste reduction and recycling programs, and how this experience will be of       benefit to the WRRAC; 
•    Sector represented (retailers, distributors/manufacturers, environmental organizations, community government, or public at large); and
•    Input he/she can contribute to the GNWT toward the development of an e-waste program
